My name is Norm Ellison and I started Ellison Design/Build to help others develop their new product ideas and engineer improvements into existing products.

I have over 20 years of international design experience, developing and bringing to market many successful products. I can help you minimize your development and product costs, recognize and deal with areas of potential risk,  learn from prototyping, and most importantly, use a simple, proven and efficient development process to keep your project on track. I've put some of these notes together on my process page.

I also have lots of experience improving a variety of existing products and can often do it while lowering product cost at the same time. Lastly, unlike a lot of freelance designers and engineers my experience has not only come from behind a CAD screen. I have conceptualized and sold the ideas for many of the products I have developed and I have a full model shop that I use for fabrication and testing. I have produced launch campaigns for new products and know how to support a product once it hits the market. Every step in the development process is important:

  • Conceptualization
  • Design/Development
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Market Introduction
  • Product Planning
  • Prototyping and Testing
  • Supply Sourcing

Markets served (to date):

  • Industrial Equipment
  • Electronic Packaging
  • Fitness Equipment
  • Medical Equipment
  • Comfort and Convenience Products
  • Commercial Products
  • Gadgets and Novelties
  • Modern Architectural Elements
  • Retail Design and Displays

Let me know if you think I can help. The initial consultation is free! To contact Norm now send an email
